We ("eeemoji") care about your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use eeemoji.com, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

What Data We Collect

When you create an account or use eeemoji, we may collect:

• Email address for signing in, verifying your account, and sending password reset links.
• Name to personalize your experience.
• Password hash a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your actual password.
• Emoji favorites the emojis you save, so they sync across your devices.
• Language preference so we can show the site in the language you picked.
• Theme preference whether you prefer light or dark mode.

How We Use Your Data

Here's what we do with it:

• Sign you in and keep your account secure.
• Remember your settings like language, theme, and display preferences.
• Sync your favorites across devices when you're signed in.
• Send account emails like password resets and email verification. Nothing promotional.

Data Storage

Your data lives in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon, deployed through Vercel. Both providers encrypt data at rest and in transit, and their data centers are SOC 2 compliant.

Third-Party Services

We use two third-party services:

• Vercel Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated usage stats so we can see how the site is being used. It doesn't collect any personally identifiable information.
• Resend sends account-related emails (verification, password resets). We share your email address with Resend only for delivering those messages.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum:

• Session cookie keeps you signed in. The site needs this one to work when you're logged in.
• Language preference cookie remembers what language you chose so we don't ask again next time.

We don't use any advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.

Your Rights

It's your data. Here's what you can do with it:

• Get a copy of all the personal data we have on you.
• Delete everything by requesting account deletion. We'll process it within 30 days.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Fix mistakes by updating your info anytime in your account settings.

Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to hold onto something specific. Anonymous analytics data (the kind that can't identify you) may stick around indefinitely.

Children's Privacy

eeemoji isn't designed for kids under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal data, please let us know and we'll delete it right away.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If you keep using eeemoji after a change, that counts as accepting the updated policy.
