How it looks
What does it mean?
An analog clock face showing 7:00. Seven o'clock is the dinner hour. Across most of the Western world, 7 PM is the default time for sitting down to eat: early enough to be civilized, late enough that the day's work is done. At 7 AM, it's the universal alarm clock hour, the time when school buses start rolling and coffee machines earn their keep.
The number 7 carries its own symbolism: seven days in a week, seven deadly sins, seven wonders of the world. But 🕖 as an emoji is strictly a time reference. Part of the original SoftBank set, standardized in Unicode 6.0 (2010). Ranks in Unicode's Group 15, the lowest usage tier.
Used for dinner plans ("dinner at 🕖"), morning alarms, and event start times. Seven PM is the most common restaurant reservation time in the US and UK. At 7 AM, it signals the start of the school/work morning. Less distinctive than 🕔 or 🕛 because seven o'clock lacks a single defining cultural association.
